Security Engineer

SK IT Cyber Security – www.sk-it.com – is looking for a Security Engineer for its Turin office. We are looking for a highly motivated, competent candidate who will join the network security operations team.
The candidate will be responsible for all daily network security management activities, supporting and maintaining a wide range of security infrastructures. They will be responsible for the availability and integrity of the components of the security architectures under management, will monitor compliance with IT security policies and will carry out the analysis and management of information security incidents.
They will take part in the design, installation and maintenance of information security infrastructures, and will work in close contact with the IT staff of corporate clients to assist them with any network security issue.

Main responsibilities
- Manage security appliances and systems, including firewalls, proxy systems and logs;
- Produce and maintain reports on event anomalies;
- Develop and maintain information security policies;
- Investigate and respond to security breaches;
- Spread and raise information security awareness and develop procedures for this purpose;
- Design and run corporate security training courses and security awareness programmes;
- Define security requirements and verify information systems to determine whether they have been designed to meet the established security standards;
- Develop new security standards, where necessary;
- Analyse corporate security needs, research and recommend solutions;
- Manage relationships with security equipment suppliers.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or scientific disciplines;
- Three or more years of experience in supporting information security infrastructure and related services, with at least 5 years of experience in the IT sector;
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP and common protocols and standards;
- Working knowledge of firewalls, web applications, load balancers and proxies;
- In-depth knowledge of Fortinet enterprise firewall technologies is required;
- Experience with the design and configuration of a DMZ network;
- Experience with DLP and IPS/IDS systems;
- Experience in managing Radius solutions.
Preferred qualifications
- Fortinet NSE4 certification and/or higher;
- Knowledge of SIEM solutions (open source and/or commercial).

The role also requires:
- The ability to independently produce technical project documentation (assessments, reports, solution designs, statements of work, diagrams and schematics);
- Full willingness to share information for the sake of operational continuity and team growth;
- Experience in running demonstrations, proofs of concept and test plans;
- The ability to identify innovative solutions to adapt to the constant renewal and evolution of information technologies.
